Let's Talk Kid Papers
So, we're a few months into the school year and I don't know about you guys but the papers are taking over my house! I love, love, love getting to see all of the cool things that my oldest does at school. Honestly, this is like the only time in my life where I don't want to just throw stuff away...but something had to be done.
Last year was Grey's first year of Pre-K, he had a blast! I saved all of his papers in a plastic under-the-bed tote and began my search for a good way to store them. I asked the experts (Pinterest) and I found a few options. I've never been a "baby book" or scrapbook person, but I found this cool idea of keeping a few favorites and some pictures in a semi-scrapbook. I figured I could keep my tote system going and just do a few pages at the end of every year. Long story short, it didn't work out. So! I went back to my trusty Pinterest board and tried out something new!
I love it! I got the idea here, but made my own labels.
1 plastic file box (I got mine at Target)
Hanging file folders
You can use the file folder labels or make your own, and I found some awesome templates for the name label on Teachers Pay Teachers. These are so much easier to maintain than a scrapbook, you just plop the papers and pictures that you want to keep in the folders and you're good to go! Plus, this makes it easier to remember which things are important enough to keep and what can be enjoyed and then discarded.
